Qld: German woman tourist drowns
A German woman tourist has drowned while swimming at Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.
Police say the 24-year-old woman was swimming at Noosa North Shore at around 5.15pm
(AEST) yesterday when she was caught in a rip.
They say an off-duty fire officer brought the woman to shore and tried unsuccessfully
to revive her.
